TLMC presents- MEISNER 1 DAY INTENSIVE- From Repetition to Text & Screen
. Duration:8 hrs 15 mins··. Price:£150
Following the growing interest from our regular Leeds students in taking their Meisner work further, Penny Bramwell-Jones will be leading a full-day intensive exploring how the principles of repetition can be carried into scripted text and on-camera performance.
We’ll begin by reconnecting with the foundations of the work through physical and vocal warm-up, focus and repetition, before taking those principles into a short scripted scene.
Throughout the day, we’ll explore:
✨ Staying connected and truthful when working with text
✨ How intention and circumstance change the meaning of the same words
✨ Listening, behaviour and genuine response
✨ Moving from repetition into scripted scene work
✨ Bringing truthful, spontaneous behaviour to camera
✨ Exploring the difference between performing and genuinely communicating
✨ Filming scene work
The day will culminate in filmed scene work, giving participants the opportunity to put the day's learning into practice and create useful footage for their ongoing actor development.
Whether you have extensive Meisner experience or are continuing to build your foundation, the day will be practical, exploratory and highly interactive.
The journey:
Warm-up → Repetition → Text → Intention → Circumstance → Camera
