5 Week Intensive | Self Taping - The Meisner Way

A practical course in self-taping that combines Meisner-based acting work with an industry-focused approach. Students will explore how to work truthfully on camera, prepare scenes using imagination, and create professional self-tapes. The course also covers casting types, industry positioning, and branding, with individual one-to-one sessions tailored to each student’s career path.

Class length: 2.5 hours per week
Time: 6pm-8:30pm
*Please note, when you book in for February 6th you are automatically enrolled for the full 5-week intensive.

Focus: Industry-standard self-taping with emphasis on subtlety, imagination, listening and
emotional preparation.

Course Overview:
This course develops confident, truthful self-tape performances for screen. Students build
technical awareness, camera subtlety, imaginative engagement, truthful listening and
emotional preparation.

6 week Repetition Intensive | "Behaviour and Opinion"

Repetition is the key to Sanford Meisner’s work. It’s what separates it from all other techniques. It requires nothing but your attention.

This class is built on Meisner’s repetition exercise.

Repetition is about learning. Learning to trust your instincts. Learning to be direct. Learning to be emotionally available.

The class will force you to express your honest feeling or opinion without hesitation. It will completely personalise your work because you will respond in a way entirely unique to you— instinctually and uncompromised.

Repetition is the proof that language is algebraic, that words don’t matter. The only thing that matters is what you’re trying to do with those words. If an ounce of behaviour is worth a pound of words, then let’s get rid of the words.

Through the repetition, you are reduced in your language and forced to make demands through your behaviour. You will be required to have an opinion about the circumstances you are in and the people you are responding to.

Acting is living truthfully under imaginary circumstances. It is about responding to your environment and letting it affect you in a way that is truthful to you. There are no tactics, no character, no “in your head”. It’s just you, living truthfully, moment to moment.

When you book the 6 week Intensive you will only see one date on the calendar, March 4th. Please book in for this date and your place will be secured for the entire 6 weeks.

Online 4-Month Intensive

This Online 4-Month Intensive will take you through the components of the Meisner Technique, and is carefully designed to help you understand how the technique can be applied to scene work.

The course will be available to anyone with an internet connection no matter where you are in the world, and will begin on March 21st 2026, running all the way until July 4th 2026. Classes are weekly: 10am-1pm BST, and will have a limited number of spaces in order to achieve an intensive working schedule for the participants.

Across the 4 months you will be learning: Single Word Repetition/ Calling on Behaviour/ Independent Activities/ Knock at the Door/ Emotional Preparation/ Meisner's approach to Scenes.
