The workshop offers half a day of Meisner’s repetition exercises, followed by work with Matt Sheppard.

Matt is a Casting Director in London, and has worked on projects such as BOILING POINT, DEATH TO 2021, and THE BEAUTIFUL GAME. Actors will get to run a prepared scene under Matt’s direction, get the footage of the scene, and have a Q&A with Matt at the end of the day.

Schedule for the day:
10am-1pm Meisner: whether you’re new to the technique, or you’ve had years of experience, a morning of Meisner will help you get out of your head and prepared for the afternoon. The morning will be lead by The London Meisner Company.

2pm-3:30pm Scene Work: Just before the lunch break we will begin working on your scene, and will continue from 2pm until the afternoon break. The scene will be sent to you when you book the workshop. We take a look at how to break down a scene, relate to the circumstances, and make strong choices which work for you.

4pm-6pm: Matt will take you through the final part of the day. You will rehearse the scene with feedback, and your final take will be recorded and footage will be sent to you. We will finish the day with industry chat and a Q&A with the fantastic Matt Sheppard.
